My eyes opened i must have kicked off all the blankets because they were on the other side of the room. My family and i lived in a big hotel in L.A called the Howard Johnston. We had lived there for about a week so far. Our hotel was directly across from disneyland, which was awesome! It was 8:10 am so i woke up, I asked my parents what we were doing that day. They told me that we were going to Universal studios.we got ready for the day as usual. at 10 o'clock we went down to wait for the bus.
after an exciting three hour bus ride we saw the big spinning spinning shaped globe that was at the entrance of the universal studios park! "tickets please" said the lady as we entered. my dad handed over the tickets. we looked at the extremely detailed map and saw that we were next to a jurassic park ride. we went over to it and hopped into a big raft type thing that could fit 10 people in it. there were some dips where the raft went straight down but my favourite bit was the amazing scenery full of dinasours and at the end where an enormous T-rex began to chase ater us.
Next was the Mummy Coaster. It wasn't a very long line so we jumped on the 1st coaster with some other people. This ride was fast and it was in the pitch black besides some awesome coloured flashes. At one point everything stopped and these little scarabs were crawling up our bodies but of course it was just special effects. I really enjoyed this ride.
Then we went a special effects workshop which we all found to be very entertaining. They taught us about mechanics and all. One thing I enjoyed was when the picked someone from the audience and put monitors on her. Then the bought out a robot and everything that the girl did the robot copied. It was a cool experience.
Finally the highlight of my journey. The House of Horror. This may sound like a normal place that tries to scare you, but it's not. Inside it had a little bit of lighting but all you could hear was terrifying screams. The trial was a 7 minute walk of horror. People dressed as vampires, mummies and everything scary. My sisters came out in tears. It was a great experience but it was really freaky.
We spent the rest of the day repeating the rides and spending our money (well mum and dad's). It was an enjoyable day.
